Frequently Asked Questions
Here are commonly asked questions that people have when considering hiring a billing consultant for credentialing and billing services.
Why pay someone to complete credentialing applications if I can do it myself for free?
Credentialing applications can be time consuming. Every insurance has different requirements of what needs to be included in the applications. I am knowledgeable and experienced in what various insurances need. I am detail-oriented and organized, ensuring that your application is completed correctly and submitted in a timely fashion. After I submit credentialing applications, I consistently follow up with representatives from the insurance companies to ensure that they are moving your application along. I do not stop following up with them until the credentialing is complete. I advocate for providers to be credentialed as soon as possible, so that clients can receive the care they need.
Why pay someone to do my billing for me when I can do it myself for free?
Completing eligibility verifications, submitting insurance claims, working with insurance companies when denials/rejections happen, and creating invoices/superbills all take time out of your week that can be used toward taking care of your clients and yourself.
Why do you charge a percentage for billing services, instead of an hourly rate?
I am thorough and efficient in my billing services. Efficient and reliable billing takes time and energy. Paying a percentage of the net fee at the end of each month ensures that I get paid fairly for my work and you are not paying someone hourly for billing that does not result in the insurance reimbursements you need to sustain all aspects of your practice and livelihood.
